If ever I have spread out a tranquil heaven above me, and have flown into mine own heaven with mine own pinions: If I have swum playfully in profound luminous distances, and if my freedom's avian wisdom hath come to me: --Thus however speaketh avian wisdom:--"Lo, there is no above and no below! Throw thyself about,--outward, backward, thou light one! Sing! speak no more!" -Friedrich Nietzsche "Thus Spake Zarathustra" The three partite track begins with quiet whirring sounds forming the background of a modal cantus firmus appearing later. In the central section, the c.f.'s timbre becomes independent and turns into a round, deep sound characterized by a pleasing fullness. The strings' short melody in the third part is very suggestive. It creates the impression of being a dreamer or of believing in a second existence in which one is able to fly.
